When Sang Hyun opened his eyes, all he could see was white. For a second he thought he was blind because the whiteness was so pure, unlike the normal white you’ve seen before. The whiteness was almost blinding he had to squint his eyes to find some clue about his current situation right now. He was lying on top of something hard and beside all the suffocating white color he didn’t find anything abnormal.
Then, suddenly he remembered. He did some rewind on the scene inside his head. He remembered that he was on his sport car and someone called him on the phone when he stopped at the traffic light. It was a call from Sandara noona asking when he would come back home because everyone’s waiting for him since it was dinner time already. He remembered how pissed he was because whenever he hit the rewind button on his head he should go back to the scene he hated the most. Why, Ji Hyun? Why?
He remembered when his car collided, when he exceeded the speed limit, when he heard loud screeching sound and when he felt the scorching pain on his trembling body.
“Are you done?”
Sang Hyun startled, he was kind of forgotten about his current condition. He thought he was alone inside this pure never ending white color. He saw a man, wearing a white robe [WHITE AGAIN?] approaching him. The way he walked was so enchanting as if he was flying, Sang Hyun tilted his head to make sure he doesn’t seeing inappropriate things and maybe he hit his head way too hard on the accident because when he watched clearly, the man indeed walked on his feet.
Sang Hyun kept his lying position because he was kind of scared, this place looks like a hospital after all and that man could be the doctor in charge and he knew that most of doctors would barked at his patient when the patient trying to act strong by making a sudden movement when they were supposed to keep lying on the bed.
“Sorry kid, I’m asking you just now. Are you done?” the man asked.
“Done with what?” Sang Hyun stared at him blankly.
This is weird but he just realized that he didn’t feel any pain at all and oh my God, there was no single wound on his body. He held his own head and make sure everything was still complete. Head, check, eyes, check, ear, nose, lips, neck all check. Then he looked at his own body, covered with white robe as well [WHITE]. Hands, feet, fingers, all complete.
The man beside him started to giggle. Sang Hyun looked at him. Somehow, he felt so uncomfortable. Like he was naked or something.
“You are different.” He said. “Come with me.”
“To where?”
“Take some walk, stretching a little bit. You slept there for hours, just so you know.”
“What? Excuse me? Where are we?” Sang Hyun frowned and he sat still, refused to come all the way with the suspicious man. He could be some psychotic, to think about that, maybe he was placed in the wrong ward. Maybe someone sent him to mental institution instead of a proper hospital.
“Of all times you were here. You just asked the most important question now.” The man giggled again.
“Are we in a hospital? Am I in the correct hospital?” Sang Hyun asked. He started to feel impatient towards the white robe man. He spoke in such a slow magical tone, like he was singing.
The man couldn’t help but laugh now. The sound of his laugh almost angelic.
“You are so funny. Come on, everything will be explained later.”
Sang Hyun felt like he had no other choice, some more, he had this urge inside his head that he has to follow this man. It was weird.
“OMO!” he jumped a bit when he stepped his feet on the white surface that seems to be a never ending floor. It wasn’t hard like he expected to be in fact it was kind of fluffy. Like… like a cloud.
He hesitated at first but he started to walk and enjoyed the fluffy feeling on both of his feet. He peeked through his shoulder and he found out that he didn’t sleep on bed just now. It looked like a stone [WHITE] and somehow it made him shivered. He quickly walked, leaving the stone behind, towards the man in white robe. Sang Hyun purposely made a distance from that man because he scared something might go wrong.
It seems like he was walking forever when that man spoke again. “Here we are. Everyone’s waiting inside.”
Sang Hyun must be dreaming because there is this really huge door in front of him. It was even bigger than the one he had in his family mansion and of course, it’s white.
The door opened and Sang Hyun pinched his own upper left arm because he must be really dreaming. There were some people inside and all of them have these, Sang Hyun gulped, a pair of beautiful white wings on their back. He turned his eyes on the man beside him, asking for some clue when he almost dropped on his knee because the man beside him also has these wings thingy on his back. It appeared out of nowhere because as far as his sane memories could remember, he didn’t have those wings just now.
“Let’s find out what you’d left behind, shall we?”
Sang Hyun gulped again.

“Ji Hyun, it’s time to wake up.”
Ji Hyun groaned and mumbled some weird words. She had a really weird dream last night. Sang Hyun was a part of it.
“Baby Ji Hyun… You need to wake up. The ceremony will start at 9 AM sharp and it’s already 7.15”
Ceremony. Of course, today is the ceremony. Ji Hyun opened her eyes to be welcomed by a busy Li Xu in front of her. He was busy tidying the bed and all of sudden he pulled Ji Hyun’s blanket making her groaned again.
“Come on baby.” He said while folding the blanket.
“You are not my maid stop doing this kind of thing every single morning.” Ji Hyun stared at Li Xu’s figure.
“Don’t tease my clean-freak side in such an early morning.”
“I still can’t believe he’s gone.” Ji Hyun mumbled, ignoring Li Xu’s attempt to make some jokes.
“I’m not either.” Li Xu replied as he managed to sit at the bed and hug Ji Hyun’s figure.

I died. Okay. Breath in breath out. Maybe I was wrong, maybe this guy was wrong. What was his name again? Leeteuk? Okay, maybe Leeteuk was wrong. I couldn’t be dead. Not now. Not in such a crucial time. I have to get Ji Hyun from that scumbag Li Xu.
He heard giggles.
“Why?” Sang Hyun asked in annoyed tone.
“Nothing. You are just so funny. But sadly, I have to tell you again that I didn’t say anything wrong nor you heard something wrong. It’s confirmed that you were dead in a car accident.”
Oh dear God, help me.
“Of course, God’s trying to help you now. That’s why he sent me.”
“Where are we? Now I’m very sure we are not in the hospital.”
“It’s a secret.” Leeteuk winked.
“Heaven?”
“No… not yet, kid. It’s quite far from here and in order to reach the holy heaven you have some tasks to do.”
“What kind of task?”
Even a dead person still has a task to do. Great. Sang Hyun barked inside his mind.
“Go back to the world and fix some stuff.” Leeteuk said. “Everything’s a mess down there.”

Sang Hyun once again opened his eyes but he wasn’t welcomed by pure blinding whiteness. Instead, he stared at hundreds of green leaves hanging above him. He tried to get up and when he adjusted his sight he realized that he was lying under a huge maple tree.
He knew this place… This was the place where he used to hang out with some other spoiled brats from his high school. They often skipped classes and came here to fool around.
“Hey.” Sang Hyun gasped as he didn’t expect anyone to be here, some more shouldn’t he be invincible?
“You didn’t think that I will let you go down alone, did you?”
Of course, Leeteuk would follow him. What did he expect? Sang Hyun thought bitterly.
“Why here?” Sang Hyun asked. His eyes wandered around. No one in sight.
“You have a strong memory on this place. I just followed you actually.”
Then Sang Hyun remembered. He was furious that day and he couldn’t help himself. The day when Ji Hyun announced that Li Xu proposed to her and she gladly accepted. The day when his car accident happened.

“Your mind was so full with hatred by the time you were dead.” Leeteuk stated. “Hatred towards your parents, Ji Hyun and her fiancé.”
He brushed some off the leaves that fell on his head and shoulders and then he continued, “Your hatred somehow triggered some unfortunate events for them. Do you want to know what actually happened?”
“What’d actually happen? I knew that Ji Hyun and that Li Xu’s married and they are going to live happily ever after blah blah blah.” Sang Hyun blurted.
“Sadly, that wasn’t happen.”
Sang Hyun’s jaw dropped. Leeteuk’s face somehow turned grim.
“Your parents, your sister together with Li Xu and Ji Hyun went to this restaurant to have a talk about the wedding, one year after your death. There was an accident in the kitchen and the gas was leaking. It was a huge accident, they need one whole day to turn down the fire.”
“You mean, they were dead?” Sang Hyun held his breath although practically he doesn’t need to breath. He’s dead now.
“No. Your parents and your sister were in the state of coma. Ji Hyun had to use a wheel chair and Li Xu’s blind.”

<3

“I don’t know that after we passed away we still be able to cry.” Sang Hyun muttered as he stared at the view in front of him.
“Yes, you could.” Leeteuk murmured beside him.
Sang Hyun let his tears fell down as he watched Ji Hyun sat at her wheel chair. Beside her, Li Xu sat on a wooden chair. They hold each other’s hand while Ji Hyun read him some funny stories from the book. Both of them giggled lightly but Sang Hyun knew better. Their laugh and giggle were nothing compared to the sadness aura that surrounding them.
Sang Hyun massaged his temple. “You know, the first time I realized that I fell in love with Ji Hyun I know it was a huge mistake. She was my step sister. My parents decided to adopt her when she was 12. They found her sleeping in front of the house. Her mother was dead and her father was a drunkard so she ran away. Pretty dramatic. I knew that my feeling to her started to be different when we both turned 14. I’m not sure but I just knew that I love her. But then, he started to date Li Xu. They met accidentally at the library and since then they were inseparable. Li Xu’s a senior in college, way too older for 16 years old Ji Hyun. Of course I opposed their relationship saying things that Li Xu could be a pervert or a sick pedophile. But the truth is, I opposed because I want Ji Hyun for myself only although it wasn’t normal to be in love with your sister.”
Sang Hyun stopped his story, realized that Leeteuk didn’t make any comment at all and he was surprised to find that the angel just kept looking at Ji Hyun and Li Xu with a blank stare.
“Excuse me?” Sang Hyun poked his arm.
“Oh my… You are shocking me.”
“Did you somehow listen to my story just now?”
“Yes but half way only, it was boring. I saw it happened you know.”
“Oh yeah of course you know every single thing that happened in my life.”
“So… you ready to make some changes here and there?” Leeteuk asked him.
“We can?”
“No, YOU can. Of course, after you finally allow your mind and heart to do so. But most importantly, the heart!” Leeteuk poked at his chest area right where his heart rested.

<3

“Li Xu, I’m scared.” Ji Hyun whispered on his soon-to-be-husband’s ear.
“Why?”
“I felt like someone’s watching me.”
“You mean a stalker?”
Ji Hyun nodded.
“It was just your feeling. Maybe you got nervous because we are getting married soon.” Li Xu said as he stumbled to help Ji Hyun put a diamond necklace on her pretty neck.
Ji Hyun sighed.
“Come on. They are waiting.”
As she followed Li Xu, Ji Hyun couldn’t help but wondering her mind to someone that has been bugging her lately. Sang Hyun…

<3

Again, Sang Hyun opened his eyes. Different scene. He was inside… his own house. He could hear some conversations in the upstairs and he just realized that he was alone. Where’s Leeteuk?
He proceeds to the upstairs and froze as he stared at both Ji Hyun and Li Xu kissing in front of Ji Hyun’s room.
Sang Hyun fake a cough but the couple didn’t even budge. Li Xu even started to roam his hands on Ji Hyun’s back.
Of course, he’s dead and invincible, he reminded himself.
“Hello, can you guys stop doing that disgusting thing? Or get a room, perhaps?” Sang Hyun blurted out although he knew it was useless.
But as if they heard, Ji Hyun suddenly made a slight push on Li Xu’s chest. “My parents and Sandara unnie are already on their way, we better go as well.”
Li Xu smiled and caressed Ji Hyun’s head. “Let’s go.”
DRIIINGGG! DRIIINGG!
“Omo, I wonder who’s calling.” Li Xu said and both of them run through the stairs to the phone which located on the kitchen downstairs.
Ji Hyun picked up the phone to the screaming of Sandara.
“YAAHH! WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?? EVERYONE’S ALREADY WAITING! DON’T TELL ME YOU GUYS ARE BUSY MAKING OUT. THERE ARE PLENTY OF TIMES TO DO THAT AFTER YOU GUYS MARRIED.”
Ji Hyun put the phone as far as possible but Sandara’s scream could be possibly heard through the whole house.
“No, we are about to go now, unnie. See you there…” Ji Hyun said as she put the phone back to its station. Both Ji Hyun and Li Xu burst into laugh.
“Your sister has sixth sense. She knows what we did just now.” Li Xu managed to put some words between his laugh. “Come on, the restaurant is not so near. We have to move.”
Restaurant? Sang Hyun was dazed for the whole time but when he heard that word he woke up. Could it be? Oh my God, it was the day. The day when that terrible accident happened to his family, to Ji Hyun and Li Xu too.
Quick, Sang Hyun. Think! Quick!
He remembered the situation when he arrived and… WAIT, is it possible?
He followed both Ji Hyun and Li Xu to the car which parked inside the garage. If let’s say something wrong happened to the car and the engine couldn’t be turned on, both of them would be saved. He will deal with his parents and Sandara noona later.
One minute passed and both Li Xu and Ji Hyun came out from the car.
“Oh my God, I couldn’t believe this car started to act. This is such a crucial time.” Li Xu practically screamed in anger. “Nothing’s wrong when I used it this afternoon.”
“We better call a taxi and…” Ji Hyun couldn’t finish her sentence when suddenly heavy rain poured.
Let’s make some storm, shall we? Sang Hyun grinned. This is going to be fun.
“Sorry miss, there was a sudden storm and we couldn’t send any taxi. There’s a major blackout too in the city.”
“I know. I know. Thank you.” Ji Hyun turned down the phone. She looked pissed off. Li Xu too. Both of them sat at the kitchen with some small candles flickering. The blackout apparently happened at the house too.
Okay, at least Ji Hyun’s saved now. Sang Hyun was thinking hard about saving his parents and his sister when suddenly Leeteuk appeared in front of him.
“Have fun?” he asked.
“I- oh well… Kind of.” Sang Hyun answered. “But I need to save my parents and my sister.”
“No need. They’re saved now.” Leeteuk smiled. “Finally, after such a long time you let your heart took control of everything.”
When Leeteuk mentioned the word ‘heart’ Sang Hyun automatically put his attention to Ji Hyun who’s currently pouted at Li Xu who looks equally pissed.
Today you might be angry but… Sang Hyun sighed, he wouldn’t be able to finish his sentence. I love you, Ji Hyun. I will always will. Li Xu, please take care her well or else I’m going to send some death angels for you.
Leeteuk giggled and Sang Hyun just realized that he has a cute pair of dimples on both of his cheeks.
“You can read minds, can’t you?”
“Very well.”

<3

Ji Hyun hugged herself tight suddenly as she shivered hard.
“What’s wrong baby?”
But Ji Hyun didn’t listen to Li Xu’s whine and ran to the living room.
“Baby, what’s wrong? Be careful, it’s dark.” Li Xu reminded her.
“What happen?”
“I feel like he’s… someone’s watching us.” Ji Hyun whispered.
“Are you alright?”
Even in the dark, Ji Hyun could see Li Xu’s beautiful brown orbs staring worried at her.
“I’m… I’m fine.” Ji Hyun sighed.

<3

“So, how was the journey just now?” Leeteuk asked as both of them walked in fluffy white floor again.

“I thought you can read minds.” Sang Hyun retorted. “Is it cloud?” His curious mind spoke as he poked at the white floor.
“You can say so. I guess it was a mind-blowing journey.”
Sang Hyun nodded.
“A heart-blowing journey too. What happen to my parents and my sister actually?”
“They came back home too because it would be a waste to have a dinner without the couple. Thank God, the accident didn’t happen because of the storm. The restaurant wasn’t that busy since lots of people turned down their reservation so the kitchen crews could pay more attention to what they did. No mistake. No gas leaking.”
“Umm… sorry for being rude and selfish but I can’t change my fate right? I couldn’t make myself alive again, am I right?”
“Sorry to say but you are right. We couldn’t change anything when it comes to death. My dear friends who called themselves as angels of death would be angry.”
Too bad, because I still want to see Ji Hyun’s happy face. I still want to tease Li Xu. I still want to mess around with Sandara noona and I still want to do something to make my parents proud of me.
Leeteuk just smiled while walking beside him. Obviously, he could make some comments about what Sang Hyun thought just now but he just kept himself quiet.
“As we walked in these fluffy things, I guess time already passed by so fast down there. Am I right?”
“Yes, in fact today’s already 1000 days after your death. They are having a ceremony.” Leeteuk explained.
“Can I have a look?”

<3

Hundreds of flowers, man in black suits, women in black dresses, added with some comfort words here and there.
This is just plain… weird, he thought as he saw both Li Xu and Ji Hyun put two bouquet of flowers on his grave. He could see his parents and sister too. They are doing well. It’s enough for him because he remembered Leeteuk’s word.
Of course, after you finally allow your mind and heart to do so. But most importantly, the heart!
He was about to spread his wings, yes, he got his own wings and they are so pure, so beautiful, so divine, so perfect- when he felt a pair of eyes staring intently at him. Sang Hyun’s eyes widened when he realized the eyes belonged to no other than Ji Hyun.
But after a few blinks, Ji Hyun turned around and rested her head on Li Xu’s shoulder.

<3

Ji Hyun must be dreaming. It was just a few seconds but she really saw… him. His eyes, how could she forget, his hair, still looked totally the same, and his… wings, so pure, so beautiful, so divine, and so perfect.
She blinked her eyes and as fast as he appeared, he disappeared. She turned around, smiled and put her head on Li Xu’s shoulder.
