.[Review] The Face Shop Imperial Herbs - Ying Mask Sheet
...Monday, October 03, 2011

Hello peeps! It's been quite a long time since I wrote in this blog. More over, work kills me. That's true, let me emphasize that for you. WORK LIFE IS KILLING ME.
Well, the job itself was fun actually but I've got some amount of stress on almost-daily basis. But, that's life, especially work life. Thank goodness for one of my stress-reliever hobbies aka writing, I've got a little space to break out which in my case, writing thousands of words and characters. My other hobbies couldn't be explained so well in this blog since it will be related to my Korean-freaky life LOLS. I've already promised under the sun, the moon and the stars that I SHALL NOT talk about Korean here. EVER.

Back to the topic aka the title itself, I've got another "sick" hobby or in my case could be called as addiction XD
I was, am and will always be a freaky person when it comes to skin care products especially those which coming all the way from the K-town. Okay, I mean Korea.
Actually this little addiction had started long time ago since I studied and stayed in Malaysia. I've been introduced to some Korean skin-care products, mainly mask by a friend of mine, Tia. My favorite products would be those from The Face Shop and Skin Food. I remembered that my first skin care/mask purchase were The Face Shop Raspberry Roots Collagen Eye Patch, Skin Food Banana Yogurt Mask and Skin Food Cucumber Soothing Mask. I bought the eye patch because I used to have this terrible eye bags (even worst than now) T.T thanks to my unorganized life back in college. As in Skin Food masks, I just bought them randomly LOLS.

In this post, I would like to give some of my thoughts about this mask I've just tried couple minutes ago ;)
Say hello to The Face Shop Imperial Herbs - Ying Mask Sheet.

I'm not really sure about this Imperial Herbs line since I was in hurry when I bought this mask along with the other two collagen masks I was supposed to buy in the first place so I didn't get to ask about the "history" of this product. I remembered last week I went to a water park and I got my skin burnt T.T and so my face! *crying* So I asked the SPG about what mask I shall use to reduce the burnt effect on my face and she gave me this Ying mask.

This is what I copied and pasted from The Face Shop (TFS) official website.

♫ Concept

On 100% of cotton sheet many well-known precious Chinese medicine herbs are soaked in to give dramatic result in a short time

♫ Description

Dioscorease Rhizoma And Japanese Cornel provide serious hydration and cell regeneration.

♫ Product Description

This mild, essence-type, all natural cotton mask sheet is concentrated with Dioscoreae Rhizoma and Japanese Cornel extracts to counterbalance ying energy and hydrate skin.

What is herbal therapy? Used to help regulate a person's energy, blood circulation, ying, yang, and spirit, our solution is drawn from on an ancient imperial prescription of five medicinal herbs that include twinleaf and asparagus root extracts, to revitalize and hydrate skin.

♫ Benefits of Dioscoreae Rhizoma:

★ Strengthens the abdomen
★ Counterbalances Ying energy
★ Softens and illuminates skin

♫ Benefits of Japanese Cornel:

★ Controls active oxygen
★ Counterbalances Ying energy
★ Softens and improves skin health

♫ My impression

It claims to hydrate skin and it really does. I like the scent especially. It fit nice and properly on my face just like any other TFS mask sheets. I felt my skin was getting moisturized perfectly especially when i applied the eco theraphy essence by the very same product, The Face Shop after I used the mask. My skin felt very very supple :) As for those benefits from the herbal ingredients (Dioscoreae Rhizoma and Japanese Cornel) I think I should use this mask more often in order to feel those benefits. tee hee.

The price was more expensive than the other mask from TFS I've tried before. I bought it for IDR 45,000 (around USD 5.3 with just a mere calculation of these days exchange rate between IDR and USD) which was pretty expensive compared to IDR 20000-ish masks I've used before.

♫ Will I repurchase?

YES! But maybe not in these days because I'm kinda broke right now D: some more I still have hundreds of my recent skin care products to be reviewed in the future LOLS

PS: I like the new blog interface ^^
